Market Update
The latest news on pricing trends:
Pricing over the last 30 days has been fairly neutral. Most of the mills raised their pricing the first part of March, but the increases have not had a lot of steam behind them. For the most part prices since the first of the year have been neutral and steady. This is kind of strange in the metals industry. As one source put it, “Prices are stuck in the swamp and there is no clear direction to the market at this time.” Another comment was, “We’ve forgotten what it is like to manage our business when prices are not volatile…somehow it doesn’t feel normal.”(source:Steel Market Update) We look for this trend to continue until there is a consistent increase in demand.

Structural Steel Distribution
Willbanks Metals opened its first dedicated retail/long products division in the Spring of 2011. The store is located at 4410 Marsalis Street in Fort Worth, Texas. This location has a retail center for will call and walk-in counter sales. The facility has 57,500 square feet of inside warehouse space located on 11 acres. It has 4 drive-through bays and 1 back-in bay to minimize wait time.

Our Retail/Long Products Division will be your source for all distribution of long products including: angle, channel, beam, pipe, tubing, flat bar, rebar and your will call/pick up items. The Marsalis location also provides saw cutting services for both large and small jobs. We also offer structural rolling, “t” splitting and hole punching. Let us quote your next cut to length project.

With over 15 years of steel industry sales experience, Danny is dedicated to sales and market development of our Long Products Division.
